Adjustable length Aero Ports for Subwoofer Enclosure (8″"
When considering the reproduction of audio, especially in the lower frequency range, what are the important factors to consider for customer satisfaction? After years of research and feedback from the audiophile community, we have identified that fixed vent ports that are not tunable by the end user for variable enclosure tuning are not readily available in some of the newest sizes required for larger SPL and daily applications. Airflow turbulence and chuffing (port noise) is a result of air rushing over sharp non radiused edges in ported enclosures. We have developed a modular product that will increase airflow efficiency, reduce airflow turbulence, and reduce chuffing (port noise) while giving the end customer the ability to vary the tuning of their enclosure to their specific needs.
We understand the end user’s desires and needs when it comes to specific enclosure tuning. Mobile Audio Network has developed a product with a modular design that utilizes removable flares with a built-in coupling mount. This creates an efficient way to affix the flares to both ends of a tubing center section allowing the customization of length, which adjusts the peak frequency. This product was designed with both inner and outer flares for the ease of removal of the port from the enclosure. By reducing the diameter of the inner flare, you are able install the Subwoofer Bass Vent (SBV) kit through the mounting hole diameter with ease. These kits increase airflow efficiency, reduced airflow turbulence, and reduces chuffing (port noise). Increased air flow velocity is achieved due to port radial entry and exit points. Design improvements in the manufacturing process remove inconsistencies caused by flaring the tube itself. Formed flares with integrated couplers are more end user friendly and have extremely tight dimensional tolerances.
Mobile Audio Network manufactures all parts in house, so that we can reduce manufacturing delays, shipping delays and quality concerns. We also offer individual replacement parts of all components within the SBV kits. We have worked very hard to not only design our product in the USA but also source all materials and manufacturing equipment in the USA. What this means is that we have virtually eliminated any manufacturing delays by completely avoiding the customs process and foreign suppliers. With quality metrics in place at every step in the manufacturing process, we can ensure that our product is of the highest quality and meets the standards that our customers expect.
